"Destino" in Spanish means "Destiny" in English, big word with a great meaning. And it is also a name of a film that brought two big names in the world of Arts

The work on this short animation started in year 1945 ,it was n't shown until 2003 oh yes it was a long time.

Despite it is cartoon movie produced by Disney in the end yet it is not for children ,or in another words Children and even some adults won't understand it easily after all it is Dali´s symbolism from the start to the end of the short animation

What I think well from short clip available online , I see a girl , a dancer who aviods and escapes big eyes ,these big eyes that take off her dress and she tries to protect her body from those eyes ,well I guess these eyes are the people

Well I don't know ,yet I know it looks different and beautiful

Today is the 10th of Moharram in the Islamic Arabic calendar , it is a holy day for Muslims . Muslims fast the 9th and 10th of Moharram from the sunrise to sunset voluntary as a custom of Prophet Mohammed "PBUH" to be followed

This year I won't go for the complex "Ashurah" celebration and its roots in history concerning the Sunni and Shiite ,I will keep it for another day

Instead I will go why Muslims consider that day as holy one before the battle of "Karbala"

we as a Muslim consider this day as a holy one because we believe that on that day the following happened:

• Allah forgive Adam for what he did from eating from the forbidden tree "fruit"
• Noah's ark was set on mount Ararat "Judy in Holy Quran" and Noah left the Ark
• Prophet Yunus "Jonah" was saved from the Whale
• Prophet Moses survived and his people from the pharaoh and his army "The Exodus"
• Prophet Jesus ,also had something related to that day either he was born on that day or he was saved from the being crucified and raised to the heavens "The third main difference between us and the Christians"

As you see it is a holy day ,and as part of being a Muslim is to believe in all the previous divine religions and prophets ,we must celebrate that day.

It is enough to know that Faras and his colleagues were doing a special investigation news report about the Murder of Rafik El-Harriri and it is enough to know that they were searching for the key witness in the case a Syrian man who escaped to France , this key witness is said the only solid evidence to blame Syria !!!

Faras tried to meet him in Paris but the man refused after saying yes from fear , Faras didn't have a chance except to break in to his apartment in Beirut to search for any clues any thing that can give him a lead ,already it is said that he found some documents

Now they caught Faras with his crew for the charge of theft

Yes he may be did something wrong , but doesn't deserve Jail

By that key Witness Zohair till now the Lebanese Interior ministry didn't ask for him at all , it didn't even ask France to arrest him !! 

By the way those young men were from the bravest news crews in Lebanon that covered the Lebanon July 2006 war boldly without fear from the Israeli Death machine ,already one of them was injured

Today is the beginning of the New Hijiri year of "1428"

The Hijiri year as you know or most of you know is based upon the Islamic lunar calendar

The "Hijiri" word comes from the word "Hajara" "The immigration" which symbolized the immigration from Prophet Mohamed "PBUH" from Mecca and Medina ,already the Hijiri calendar numbering starts with that great important incident that is from 1428 years Prophet Mohamed "PBUH" immigrated from Mecca to Medina

The numbering of the years started in the Caliph "Omar Ibn El-Khatib" and the oldest record or document that exists now is an papyrus in Egypt that contains a Hijiri year ,I believe it can be found in the Islamic Museum in old Cairo

The "Hijiri" or Islamic calendar depends on the old Pre-Islamic Arabic Lunar calendar and thus the names of the months till now didn't change

The difference between the Islamic lunar year and the Gregorian solar year are 12 days

Today is the first day of the month "Moharram" which comes from the word "Haram" that is means in Arabic "prohibited" and this came from the fact that "Moharram" is from the four sanctified months of the year in which fighting is prohibited according to Islam , except on one condition that is defense ,it was already prohibited in pre-Islamic age and that's why was called "Moharram" as the Arab tribes before Islam were crazy about wars ,tribal wars could go for years and thus they needed a rest , Islam came and confirmed the prohibition of fighting of those month I believe to bring Peace between those fighting tribes

The month of "Moharram" is not also important from what it holds in being the first month of the year or as "Sanctified" month or from the fact that the Prophet "PBUH" immigration happened in it but also the Muslims celebrated "Ashurah" in and also the battle of Karbala happened on that day in that month ,of course Karbala was a turning point in the Islamic history as some says the Islamic world since it was divided between Sunni and Shiite ,already I will won't talk about it now ,I will take about it later insh Allah in "Ashurah" ,that is on the 10th day of the month :)

Happy New year to all Muslims again and I wish this year would be better for the Muslim world ,no fighting ,no poverty , a better hope to regain a lost glory insh Allah

The Manga Japanese word comics book ,it is distinguish from the other illustration styles

The Japanese are famous with their illustration styles whether in cartoons like Anime or Manga in comics

Their fame is world wide

But the way there is no connection between the Japanese Manga "comics" and Egyptian Manga "Mango in Egyptian accent"

It was a shock for me a big one ,when I read the news this morning ,in fact it wasn't shock for me only ,but also a shock for the rest of my family especially my grand mother , already yesterday she knew some relative had died yet she wasn't as sad as today when she knew that TV host "Samia El-Atraby" had passed away suddenly and quietly

May be my grand mother became two sad as a result of the two successive news

"Samia El-Atraby" ,the famous TV host in the Egyptian National TV in the channel Two , she became a household name after presenting a wonderful set of programs for more than two decades

The wonderful thing about "Samia El-Atraby" she was really an Egyptian who presented the real Egypt for the viewers

Egyptian in her look ,Egyptian in her style,in her kindness and in her  customs ,who would deny that she was the lady behind the "Jalbya" fashion in Egypt from few years.

All the other female TV hosts in the Egyptian TV like to appear on the western style ,yet she was the opposite and she proved that she is so beautiful being an Egyptian

Even in her choice of TV shows , for a whole decade she presented a real successful TV show called "Hakawi El-Ahawi" -"The tales of cafes" ,this program was the best ever documentary presented about Egypt

It was about us ,the Egyptians, our traditions and customs ,our history ,our geography ,our life

Samia El-Atraby was the sweet high class lady from Turkish decadent who set down on her feet to talk the simple peasant in Delta ,Nubians in south,nomads in Siwa

I always remember her in the interview with a very old Turkish Shoe maker in some Ally down town

She was n't arrogant all

I am really feel sad because when I was young I used to watch her TV show for children "Kanny and Manny" which is by the way an ancient Egyptian words for "Honey and butter"

Samia El-Atraby contributed a lot to the Egyptian culture more than anyone did ,when I mean culture the real one not the sophisticated but the real one about the real Egypt of the simple Egyptians

I won't deny that this lady had a big influence in my life in fact the "Egyptian Chronicles" whether in Lives spaces or Yahoo 360 or Vox are all based upon her view to present the Simple Egypt ,the real Egypt

Egypt is that more than Pyramids and politics

Samia El-Atraby was a real protector of the Egyptian heritage

May Allah bless her soul ,she left after long struggle with disease ,I believe it was cancer ,already she had cancer from a long time ago and she was cured from it ,then it seemed it hit again,the wonderful thing is that she didn't give up

The last time I saw her was last year with Mona El-Shazely  in 10 o'clock on Dream TV

I saw her once in El-Zamalak ,she was elegant with her Egyptian Style of cloth and dark Khol make up

Her daughter by the way is the most famous Jalbya designer and got shops under the name of "Hakawai El-Ahawi" ,one of them is in Ramses Hilton Annex , unfortunately it is so so so expensive

Late Samia said already that the first Jablya she ever bought from Siwa was 5 Egyptian pounds ,now it is above 1000 , as it is hand made ,already she was the reason

Samaia El-Atraby comes from a very famous family El-Atraby of Turkish blood , this family is known for the beauty of her girls whether Samia and her other 4 sisters like Sohiar who headed the Egyptian TV ,already in my class in university we had that girl from El-Atraby family and she is so beautiful

Samia fought the Cancer like no other ,it is enough to know that the last 18 years of her life where she found herself with a battle with the age killer ,were the most successful years in her career ,no one except few knew that she was undergoing a great suffering

May Allah bless her soul

Oh Allah don't make her lonely in her loneliness night and give her the easiness in the question

First of all I am sorry that I didn't complete my Ihab Nafea as soon as I promised thanks to laziness

Today I will tell my dear friends who the real Ihab Nafea was

Ihab Nafea was first  the pilot of President Gamal Abdel Nasser ,then he was an Intelligence officer ,at the same time he was an actor ,then he left Egypt to be a business man

that what we were told and believed till the late 1980s when Egypt's first Spy late Refaat El-Gamal aka Rafaat El-Hagan was published and Nafea name appeared as contact officer with the legendary Spy after that everything was known especially he was retired

In year 2006 he published his memoirs where he revealed Shocking and Surprising truth about the the 1960s era personalities and Politics

I won't talk about the part where he tickled the lives of the singers and actors at that time ,because it wasn't shocking for me to know that Farid Al-Atresh was a gambling addict ,it got no important for me with the other details in book

For example Nafea blamed president Nasser on the defeat of 1967 and said why he blamed him with reasons , those reasons of course are not the only or complete reasons but they are just only part of the big image to understand the greatest fiasco ever we are still paying

The most important juicy parts for me is his assignments

I mean it is enough to know that Ihab Nafea worked as a double agent for the Egyptian intelligence sake through his friendship Ezer Weizman ,the former president of Israel.

It is also enough to know that Nafea worked as Air fighter for the American forces during the Vietnam war

It is also enough to know that he was the messenger of a letter sent by Walter Mondale,the American vice president then to president Sadaat after announcing his will to travel to Israel for the sake of Peace,the letter contained generous offering that the States would stand beside Egypt financially if we made peace with Israel

Ihab unfortunately despite all what he did was always under lots of criticism due to his own personality

He wasn't a Saint nor he claimed to be one at all , he also didn't hide his life and thus it was well known that he was one hell of womanizer ,from the legendary womanizers in Egypt

The man himself didn't deny it

In fact he was honest when he said "I don't recall the number of Women I married and knew"

That's true Ihab married a big number of women ,it was only in the last 5 years of his life he settled down

Already he was married to a doctor and got a girl from her before marrying Majda

I don't know after Majda how many ladies he married ,but the most important and famous two marriages were the widow of Rafaat Hagan and a Princess from the Gulf

Marrying the widow of Rafaat was a shock for many

Yet he didn't give a damn for what the people think

He got 4 children but to say the truth ,they don't feel him like a loving father that much .

anyhow here are the pictures for him in his daughter's wedding and his most recent photo before his death

I won't analysis his personality and categorize him despite all what he did because we are in the end all humans

I respect for what he did to his country and that's why I dedicated those lines for him

Do you imagine one day James Bond can be a real person ??

Do you imagine that someone can live a life in the same style ?? Espionage,Women,gambling,cars and living on the edge for your country

No one really, in fact in the last Bond movie "Casino Royale" we find a character other than that we know the character we used to know for the last 30 years , the Blonde human Bond and thus Bond producers and Makers understand that in real life there may be no Bonds

But to their surprise and our surprise we will find that there was a person who can be a living example for 007 ,he was Egyptian

And his name was Ihab Na'af and he died on the 30 of last December 2006 quietly in Cairo in a strange way, not even an obituary was written for him in Al-Ahram newspaper

He was born in Cairo in the year 1935 in Cairo for a wealthy family ,also famous in the showbiz , as his cousins were the Zoulfakr brothers "Mahmoud,Ezz El-Din and Salah" ,also he was related to the famous Shakib sisters "Zozo and Mimi"

Yet despite his dashing look he didn't work in the showbiz ,he joined the  Egyptian Air forces in year 1952 and graduated as Air fighter pilot in 1955. Ihab was a qualified pilot that he was the special pilot of President Nasser till the 1960s ,I believe till 1962

After that he suddenly became famous to the Egyptian Society when he married the famous movie star then "the virgin of the Cinema" as they used to call her Majda El-Sabhy ,whom he met in the some evening in the Russian Embassy in 1963 and fall in love according to El-Sabhy version of the story

After his marriage he formed a duet with the mega superstar and producer then and presented about 7 or 10 movies ,I don't remember ,the famous ones are "The Naked Truth","The last kiss" and "That Man I love", of course there were others he acted in without Majda like Hend Rostom "The nun" and with Faten Hammah in that wonderful romantic movie "Something in My life" {The only movie I love for him really }

Beside their acting and producing together , Ihab and Majda gave birth to a girl "Ghada" who also turned to an actress like her mother

In 1970s ,in 1973 I guess they were divorced and since the man was almost vanish for the public memory except may be appearing in 1990sin some television movie ,other than that he was just some pretty face appeared for some time in the Egyptian Cinema , not that talented, many believed he was just like the ice-cream ,pretty but so so so so cold

Yet really few knew who was that man for real and what he was doing for living

Ihab Na'af since 1960s was working for the Egyptian Intelligence , and it seemed to me that he was more like an under covered agent , his book about his memoirs made a shock for everyone even his own daughter Ghada , political surprises ,shocking confession about personalities from actors ,singers,kings and even about presidents of Egypt . Ihab who was very old then was surprised with the attack from every body , even the so-called liberal writers like Khaled Monster described him as the male version of "Etamad Khorshid" !!!

What I read about the book in the newspaper didn't make me hate the man because I know for sure that every single word in that book is true from the political facts not his personal life but the political facts ,as that book was reviewed in the Egyptian intelligence word by word ,so he wouldn't put a single word about what he did in the secret service if didn't really took place

Your Egyptian scheherezade will stop here because I don't want you to get bored ,so come back soon Coz the story has just began ,I swear that man was did more than James Bond did in 30 years

Today's 6th of January is the eve of the Christmas according to the Eastern Orthodox Church

at Last Egyptian Comedy star Soad Nasr died after long time with illness. At last Nasr will be in Peace after a whole year in Coma

Allah's mercy is above all

Thank God thousand time that there was end for that misery

It was a misery for a mistake in a Plastic surgery Nasr paid her life for , a mistake the doctors didn't want to admit they made it in the expensive hospital !!

Soad was another victim to the doctors' mistakes

anyway the misery didn't stop here , the misery continued with the struggle between her family and kids and her husband who want to take off her money ,despite she didn't die ,she still got her kids and her family !!

It was the talk of the town

anyhow Soad was A-Class comedian , the rare women comedians I can't forget her roles with Muhammad Sobhy in his TV series or plays ,I can't forget her roles in many movies and TV series

Already I saw her in real life once in shop , babies and children cloth , she was very down to earth person , who didn't forget her roots despite the fame and money

She was n't a high class or middle class girl ,she was from the working class and she succeeded to give the image of that working class in comedy perfectly

May Allah bless her soul

I don't know but I always remember her as a person who succeeded in delivering happiness to our hearts in very hard times
