It seems that even after death people don't want to leave her alone , one day we found some say that she was married to Abd El-Halim for 6 years in secret including famous journalists like Mofid Fawzy and her own sister

I don't know what is the benefit from knowing if she was married from Halim or not , already the two are dead ,so let them rest in peace for God Sake

Another thing and this is so stupid ,in some so-called Coptic  website I found that some are saying that Soad Hosni converted to Christianity !!?? I hate to say it but Soad Hosni lived and died as a Muslim , so back off these silly sectarian radical rumors that if it proves anything ,will only prove the existence of radicalism from both the Christians or Muslims between  in Egypt unfortunately

The old story : The beauty and the politician

I don't know how to describe her except she was a legend , that lived a sad life far away from glamour , her beauty was a curse more than a  bless , a beauty that will cause her murder years later

She was killed in an early age before her actual murder from six years ago , yes I am from those who believed that Soad the moon sister was killed from the infamous Stewart Towers in fog capital of London, I won't believe the British reports no , no , no because SOSO is from the ladies who knew too much just like the silent roommate Nadia Yousry , by the way I don't blame her because I know she knows very well she opens her mouth ,she will Join Soad

Why would anyone want to kill the moon sister??

well this is question surely asked by those who don't the dark face of the moon sister , a dark face she may not have a choice in having it

Soad Hosni was working as an agent for the Egyptian Intelligence before the six days war in 1967 and this is well known for everyone and she was among the ladies who testified in front of the military court in the famous case of the intelligence corruption against Salah Nasr and his name ,as a witness

Already no one denies that she was working for the Egyptian intelligence , of course I will decline to describe her role exactly except that I believe she was forced to do despite all what was claimed against her whether from the Son of Salah Nasr that she was a lazy agent , already I don't know exactly what his father's definition to the good female agent !!??

A proof of her refusal to that so-called Patriotic role , well her unforgettable roles in El-Karnak film based upon a novel for Naguib Mafhouz with the same name and in "Shafika and Matwaly" ,the film which I believed was a metaphor for tragic experience with those criminals back in the 1960s era , both films were in the 1970s in president Sadaat May Allah bless their souls

"Shafika and Matwaly" ends in the similar way in fact identical way to the end of Soad's life , "Shafika" got killed because she knew too much and they wouldn't let her go , "Soad" got killed because she was going return to Egypt after years of absence ,after years of medical treatment , she would return as a star who was going to write down her memories

You will wonder so why someone would kill her after all those decades and how the memories of some lady would scare some men whose names were already known

Well despite all the denial the Egyptian people understood the game very well , it has nothing to do with the current Egyptian intelligence but the old buddies of Salah Nasr ,who many of them fled to London like Shams Badran , the former infamous idiotic defense minister but even those can not harm her 

I won't say more at least this year , but let's say for now that she was murdered and the British knew that very well , there were several evidences that prove but for some how the regime is not interested why ,well next year

Soad Hosni made us enjoy life , made us happy , made us cheerful and we owe to her that we must not forget her right for justice from those who were behind her murder , ironically she was n't their only victim from the Egyptian people

The Mummy by Shady Abd El-Salam in year 1975 starring Nadia Lotfy and Mohamed Marr'i "Well it is not like the American Mummy for sure , it is much serious ,to put it in simple words it story happens in the 19th century and the tomb raiding in Luxor , it was highly received  inside and outside Egypt , this is the only long film for Abd El-Salam before his death , Abd El-Salam was mad about ancient Egypt , already if you watch Cleopatra then you must know that the man who designed the entrance of Cleopatra in Rome was him , he had another fantastic short movie called "The wise peasant" based upon the famous ancient Egyptian story with the same name , he died while preparing for his long film about the life of king Akhenaton"

The sin by Henry Barkat in year 1965 starring Fatan Hamma and Abdullah Guith "Not cheerful at all , I think it was based upon Youssef Idris short story , I am not quite sure , it is about the tough life of the peasants who work from one field to another , it is very sad and I don't usual complete it till the end"

5. The Bus driver by Atef El-Taib ,in year 1983 starring Nour El-Sherif "Unfortunately among all late El-Taib films ,I didn't see this one but I heard and read it was great , late El-Taib was famous for his realistic political films”

Death or Life by Kamal El-Sheikh in year 1954 starring Emad Hamdy and Madiha Youssry “I don’t know how this silly film made to the list ,it is the best films for El-Sheikh nor for Youssry or for Hamdy , for God sake it is the movie of {in the medicine there a deadly poison} already a piece of trivia this film was made to make people understand the importance of the Egyptian 911 police alike when the service entered Egypt , it was very silly , in fact it was a comedy of itself when I remember it”

The Nightingale prayer by Henry Barkat in year 1959 starring Fatan Hamma and Ahmed Mazhar based upon a novel by Taha Hussein “What can I say a sad love story ,the old story of vengeance that turns to love and guilt , in the heart of the upper Egypt , the film is magical despite its sadness ,it is very sad and ends very sad , this film was one piece of art that could have reached to the Oscars but it did not because Ahmed Mazhar was a close friend to President Nasser “

13. The innocent by Atef El-Tayeb in year 1986 starring Ahmed Zaki “One of the most important political films in Egypt , it is said that it is the favorite for the MB”

Yet the big surprise that there are other great films for great directors that was included like the great film “Something from Fear” by Hussein Kamal and starring Shadia who presented a great performance

Also there are other directors in the lists who should have mentioned more than one time like Salah Abu Seif as I hinted before this man got a very important list like “Between Heaven and earth” ,”Raya and Skina”, “The Start” and “Cairo ‘30”

Another two films I remember should have been included are “Song on the pass” by Ali Abd El-Khalk about the 1967 six days war and “The Karnak” by Ali Badrakhan and starring Soad Hosni

Today from 100 years ago the first Egyptian National shots were taken in Alexandria and guess for what , for the visit of the Khedive Abbas Halmi the second "the ruler factor ,oh boy it is historical" , the famous Khedive who went and didn't return back to liberate Egypt till now was opening the scientific institute in the Morsi Abu Al-Abbas famous Mosque in Alexandria and since then the Egyptian Cameras started and never stopped rolling in thank God

But just for the record this wasn't the first time Egypt saw a cinematic camera as on 1897 or 1896 I can't remember some French people came and took cinematic shots for the Suez Canal as far as I remember

The Egyptian Cinema is the gate of stardom in the Arab world and despite all what is said about ,I am honored that we got something like it

Today the Egyptian critics chose the best 15 films in the history of the Egyptian Cinema and what a dull list , sad tragic dramatic films ,yes these movies are great but they are so ....so dull ,they can make you depressed,the only cheerful film in the list was "Ghazal El-Bant" a black comedy in fact

You know one of my favorite films is "Between Heaven and earth" which was directed by Salah Abu Seif ,the father of Egyptian realistic cinema and was written by Naguib Mahfouz in the early 1960s , a political comedy it reminds me with the Blake Edwards film

Another important political comedy also made by Abu Seif and Mahfouz "The start" or "Badia"

To tell you the truth I never like Affleck especially after Giggly and I don't know why on earth Garner would leave Michael Vartan for that rude person !!

Nasser wasn’t ready to enter any battle according to all the historians even those who worship the man, I mean it is agreed that he didn’t have any power or control on the army what so ever at all, the army under the control of General Abd El-Hakim Amar and his men “Shams Badran” and “Salah Nasr”, And Amar seemed to have more plan and more greed to dream about the rule of Egypt. There was a hidden war between the close old friends on who should rule and on who should won, in the end the one who lost was the Egyptian army and people.

They were arranging for coup to take after the battle, my question were they know how the battle would result so they would put their plans for the post war period?? Did they want us to be defeated to make the people hate Nasser??

“Shams Badran”, the minister of war on the famous 9^th of June called the secretary of President Nasser “Sami Sharaf” to tell him that to get the hell out of the presidency office because he didn’t want to see his f**king face when he would come !! This was on 9^th of June , just after 4 days from the battle already the battle wasn’t finished yet after all it was called the six days war , the 4^th days and most of out troops in Sinai didn’t return back yet and all what the minister of war cared at that was that he didn’t want to see the face of his enemy after being the next president of Egypt !! “For those who don’t know Nasser and Amar agreed to resign and appoint either Badran or Mohidin as the president”

They were not busy actually with what was going in Israel, they were not actually think they would lose, seriously according to family sources and mine the army lived a big lie that after 48 hours they would reach Tel Aviv, the wives of the officers gave them lists of things they should bring home from the capitalistic western Hebrew capital, I know one officer who told his mother to bring him his swimsuit because he was going to swim in Eilat!! “I will speak about this officer later”

They were very arrogant and they were the first people to live the lie they were promoting to the people that we were going to erase Israel, we going to destroy the American six fleet, it seemed that they were not living in the real world, well at least the high commandership of the army, they seemed to be going in to another war, another battle and another enemy they were underestimating in the worst kind and that’s was from the reasons behind our disgraceful defeat.

They didn’t have faith in God nor in the cause ,in fact they were having too much faith in themselves and the case wasn’t really to protect Egypt or return Palestine ,in fact I don’t know what was ,may be it was the seek of rule ,the more rule they could get

I don’t have to be a warrior to understand that I must believe in the cause I am going to the battle and ready to die for

Sun Tzu said in his masterpiece the Art of War which I am quiet certain that Amar and co-bodies didn’t read or even hear about

“If you know your forces and your enemy forces well, you will have victory in every battle, if you know your forces well and don’t know anything about your enemy forces, you will have a defeat for every victory you will achieve, and if you don’t anything about your forces or your enemy forces you will be defeated”

This ancient strategy explains exactly what happened back in 1967, the Israelis knew us very well where as we didn’t know the capabilities of ourselves

We all know what happened on the Egyptian front from defeat and reasons of defeat crystal clear but the mother of all Mysteries in the 1967 war is in Syria

You see the Golan Heights are very fortress from the geographical point of view; they are hills that can’t be easily invaded especially if there are military presence and resistance there which actually were not as expected there back in June 1967 not to mention the sudden withdrawal order with a fight given to the Syrian army [1]

According to historians the Syrian forces in the Golan were:

1. A reserve brigade

2. The fifth army

3. The ninth army

The fifth and ninth armies were already there to protect the hills from the IDF, because it was not the first time there was war because of the hills in 1950 or 1951 there was a small attempt by the Israelis to invade the Golan that was stopped by the Syrian army then.

The rest of the army units and regiments didn’t fight in the battle and didn’t fire a single bullet, the rest of the troops stayed to protect the regime like the 3^rd army not from the Israelis as I believe but from any attempted coup or revolution.

Another Mystery is the announcement of Hafiz El-Assad the minister of defense and the head of the air forces [2]then the president later the fall of the Quintiara city on the 10^th of June 1967 exactly at 9: 30 AM in the announcement no.66 even before the IDF reached to it!!

There is a great fight in the Quintiara city and its outskirts...

The problem was there wasn’t fight or one single Israeli in the city back then!!

I don’t know but how he knew it was going to fall as may be there could be a powerful resistance in it to hold back the IDF forces!! I always thought that in the military regimes and also democratic ones which are living war usually the news of the cities fall under the mercy of the enemy are carefully announced so it wouldn’t affect on the people’s spirits!!

Former Syrian Ambassador in Paris then and regime opponent now “Sami El-Genndy”[3] was amazed in Paris when he saw on TV the Syrian Ambassador to the United Nations announcing the fall of city and the arrival of the IDF to Damascus in front of the Security Council, of course the Israeli Ambassador denied these strange allegations because simply his arm forces didn’t reach the city!!

Later he knew from the Syrian foreign Minister “Ibrahim El-Makhous” that it was a skimp made to scare the world in order to save Damascus!! Of course it was a silly skimp as the world won’t fear for the fall of any Arab city whether a village or a capital, the world always believes Israel, I can’t believe this kind of thinking seriously.

Forget about that diplomat he may hate the Baath regime so much after being one of the famous leaders in the party and thus he could say anything to defame them what about the testimonies of the officers who were in the Golan during the war.

I found in the article of Mr. Khalid Al-Ahmed a testimony of a reserve officer he didn’t mention his name and I think we all know why because may be not only the reserve officer would be missing but he entire family would be if they knew his name.

According to this testimony the reserve officer was having breakfast with couple of soldiers when he heard the announcement 66 through the Damascus radio station, I forgot to say that this officer was in the city of Quintiara at the same moment .As soon as they had heard the announcement the officer and his soldiers left the breakfast to search in the streets for the enemy that succeeded in invading the small city but they found none!! When the officer returned back to his unit, he found out that his superiors had already fled away as soon as they heard the announcement even without looking the window; it seemed that they trusted El-Assad so much that they believed him while he was in Damascus where as they were in “Quintiara” itself, man the Israelis should win us back then!!

Ok may be that unknown John Doe Syrian officer is also an enemy for the regime and the party what about a minister from the cabinet back then itself!!

Minister of Health “Abdel Rahman El-Akta” told one of his friends that he had been on the Syrian front in the Golan when the announcement was aired doing a field inspection visit and that he thought there was kind of a mistake and thus he called the minister of defense El-Assad to tell him that the “Quintiara” didn’t fall yet , instead of thanks for the joyful news the minister was met with rains from the most dirty insults[4] from the kind of “F**k” and “Son of B***” in the early morning with threats if he didn’t shut the F**k up and mind his own F**king business and in front of this lion[5] anger ,the minister apologized !!

You know something if you read the announcement no.66 in June in the language of numbers it would be 6/66 that is 666, what an omen!!

Already the whole world back then was amazed when it saw the Syrian defenses in Golan on how the Syrians left it without any considerable losses

Look to what the Time correspondent said about the Golan in August 1967 describing the Golan defense lines as fortress and powerful wondering how the Syrian could leave it so easily !!

Another incidents not testimonies that should be mentioned, they are very interesting me, number one was that the army commander returned back the emergency food supplies of the forces in the Golan before the war with two weeks to be replace with new, the problem was that the new supplies didn’t arrive in two weeks till it was war and Soldiers were without emergency food supplies!!

Another incident the families of the high rank officers were deported from the Quintiara along with their furniture before the war despite the threats of the city governor back then “Abd El-Halim Khaddam”[6] that he would kill anyone who would leave the city !!

The worst part in that historical riddle was that the regime and its ruling government left to “Homs” for fear “Damascus” would fall too

Already if you invade the Golan Heights completely, the road will be open to you to invade “Damascus” because the distance between it and the city of “Quintiara” is only 40 kilometers but according to the historians the rest or the majority of the army was in the capital protecting the regime, but as I referred earlier not from the IDF but from any expected coup or public revolution.

It seems the Military regime in Syria was not willing to fight at all , not to fire a single bullet or defend one inch of its land I am afraid with my all respect but this is the conclusion any one would reach from reading the history , they were not willing to fight despite they were behind the escalation of the events till reached to the level of war , of course Israel anyway had planed to make war sooner or later then but the Syrian regime gave them the service of their lives , not only they entered with the Israelis war but they had dragged also Egypt and Jordan .

I don’t blame them as I said Israel was planning for war sooner or later just like in the case of the Lebanon War July 2006 ,they were only waiting for the excuse but on the contrary of Hezbollah ,the Syrian regime back then didn’t fight well ,sorry didn’t fight back at all !!

Another mystery from the mysteries in that war was the Syrian Air forces

As you see the IAF started its attack on Egypt since 5 AM on the 5^th of June, all the air fighters were in the battle nothing left to protect Israel and its airports except 12 air fighters

So if the Arabic air forces from the Syrian, the Iraqi and the Jordanian had attacked Israel after or between 5 AM to 10 AM, it could have destroyed the remaining of the IAF and the Israeli airports, and intercepted the returning fleets of the air fighters coming back from Egypt with ammunition or fuel and thus it would be easy to destroy them

Imagine how the course of the battle and its result would have changed if that had taken place, the course of the history would have change.

I don’t know or have an idea why it didn’t take place, already historically the only Arabic air forces attack which was the Syrian took place at 12 PM Damascus local time and it was only targeting the oil refinery in Haifa!! 12 PM was exactly after one hour when the IAF finished its job in destroying the EAF completely in complete 6 hours from 5 AM to 11 PM!!

It would be very ridiculous to know that the Syrians didn’t start their attack because they were confident from “Sawt El-Arab” radio reports with the voice of Ahmed Said bringing the joyful news that the Egyptian forces destroyed 40 Israeli air forces !

It is not only me the Egyptian citizen whom after 40 years is amazed about what happened with the SAF which its high commander Hafiz Al-Assad then in an interview before the war by couple of weeks confirmed that it was ready to erase the Israeli existence from the surface of the earth but also late King Hussein of Jordan himself, the king of Jordan was surprised by the Syrian reaction and he shared his surprise with the French Journalists’ interview in the book “our war with Israel” [7]

We were waiting the Syrians, as without the “MEG” we couldn’t bomb the Israeli airports and since 9.30 am I called the commandership of the SAF and their answers were that they were surprised by what happened, that their planes were not ready, their pilots were having training sessions!! They asked to give half an hour then an hour, in 10:45 AM they asked for another hour and we said yes, then in 12 AM we couldn’t wait any longer, and so the Iraqi Air fighters took off along with out Jordanian air fighters in the mission and thus we didn’t start our operation except after 12 am[8]

The SAF made us miss a golden chance we could have used to for the Arabs’ sake, if the Syrians hadn’t hesitated, we would have started our operations in earlier time and we could have intercepted the enemy bombers in their way to return to their bases after bombing the Egyptian Air bases without enough fuel or ammunition, and we would have surprised them while they were on ground falling their tanks for another round , if that had happened ,it would have changed the course of the battle and results were switched.

Time only will reveal an explanation for several things but what I am sure of is that the SAF were not ready for the 5 of June war and the Israelis’ calculations were right when they left only 12 air fighters to protect their skies where the rest of the IAF to hit Egypt !!

I won’t speculate what all these mysteries mean from treason that was taking place in the Syrian regime, already this can go perfectly with the warning King Hussein sent to President Nasser before their meeting that he had got information that some members in the Syrians were working for some parties and that they wanted Egypt to be involved in the war as a set up

It is just like a puzzle for me you can bring its pieces to gather in order to have the picture completed, the problem here you find an ugly shocking picture in the end that would certainly will cause in the fall of false idols who ruled countries for decades by the name of patriotism by the charges of the grand treason.

I would refer here to something I read and post about from couple of months concerning the huge secret president Anwar Sadaat shared with his personal doctor Mahmoud El-Gama’, a secret that President Nasser was aware and shared with Sadaat, that Secret was …. But you know this arrogance was the one that brought them down in 1973

Short notes:

The drums of the war in the Middle East began to be heard in the mid 1960s exactly in the end of the 1966 when Israel declared its plans to redirect the River Jordan which passes through Syria and Jordan, so then Syria and Jordan would have lost very important water resource.

Of course the Egyptian leadership under Nasser would not leave Syria alone, in fact in my personal opinion things got escalated thanks to the Egyptian interfere ,I know very well that Israel planned for that war from long time and I think they wanted to provoke Nasser enough to push him in to war as they know very well he wouldn’t leave a chance to prove that he and his army were the protectors of the Arab world , they wouldn’t push him if they didn’t know that his army was strong really to stand against  the IDF

The tension began to increase more and more when the Syrian regime claimed that Israel was gathering its arm forces on the Syrian-Israeli borders at the beginning of the May 1967 despite the Israeli denial, the soviets confirmed this fact and thus the region seemed to be heading towards war.

General Amin El-Howdy[1] was sent by president Gamal Abd El-Nasser to check if there were Israeli forces on the Syrian borders like the Syrians and the soviets claim in the mid of the May, during his visit he met with Col. Abd El-Karim El-Genndy, the head of the Syrian intelligence who confirmed to him that there was no gathering for the Israeli forces on the borders!!

Ironically some of the former Syrian leaders just like former Prime Minister Youssef Zuaiyin  and also from the present members of the regime there are blaming King Hussein to be the one who made President Nasser to involve in the war despite the late King warned Nasser from the possibility that some members in the Syrian regime would set him up!!

According to Dr. Zuaiyin‘s memories “The British made King Hussein deceive president Nasser!! As they had promised the king that Israel wouldn’t invade one single meter from his kingdom!!” I don’t know what this Baath veteran is trying to fool, what British role he is mentioning now for God Sake we all know that the British role in the region in 1967 was over and the American role replaced him to counter the soviet role!!

The man completes and says that they were shocked in Syria when they knew that Egypt and Jordan signed the common defense treaty, well the Doctor may not be aware that king warned Nasser from the Syrians!!

 Runaway Pride

When El-Assad announced the fall of the city of Quintiara even before the arrival of the IDF to it, the Syrian militaries ran away from it and didn’t bother to stand and defend the city, the withdrawal order came!! The first to escape were the officers with high ranks who became later big names in the political military history of Syria like Rafaat El-Assad!!

For example:

On the 8^th of June 1967 General “Ahmed El-Suwadany” who later became the high commander of the Syrian army  took off his ranks and clothes ,disguised himself as a shepherd and went to the village of “Noy” which is a couple of miles of the city “Quintiara”

The commander of the front Col. “Ahmed El-Mire “followed him, riding a donkey!! Of course some officers denied this incident which was mentioned internationally in Patrick Seale’s biography about President Al-Assad and that Seale took this piece information from the people in the streets of Syria , but I think it is not the guilt of Seale as he found an interesting  story the Syrians are telling to each other generation from generation, some of those officers go beyond this and claim that it is a conspiracy to destroy the spirit of the Syrian people

But there are other officers who confirm the popular shameful story, as according to them when the withdrawal order came it was not a tactical withdrawal but a qualitative withdrawal, just to get the hell as soon as possible, leave your arterially behind and thus the general didn’t have much options to fast from his withdrawal except by disguise himself as a peaceful shepherd

The man himself who died in 2006 didn’t confirm or deny, silent he was regarding it and thus I guess it could be true

Anyhow, “Mire” wasn’t alone as he was followed by several high commanders, officers and ranks including Rafaat El-Assad, the brother of Hafiz El-Assad himself!!

The ruling cabinet and the rest of regime in Damascus itself packed its bags and took the money from the Syrian Central bank and headed to Homs as they were certain that Damascus was going to fall in the hands of the Israelis!!

They left it alone with its people and fled away with no intention to defend it, a typical Baath act that reminds me with what Saddam and his army had done in the invasion of Baghdad, the sudden disappearance from the capital

Imagine if Damascus had fallen, well my imagination tells me that the Israelis were wise enough not to invade it because they didn’t want to convert their victory in to defeat because the people not the regime would stand against them!!

I didn't speak about the Syrian Front in the six days war , in fact I found it rarely in the media ,all the concentration goes to the Egyptian front despite the Fact it was the Syrian leadership was the one that made us involve in the war in the first place

Here are some quick notes about some interesting facts that may help us understand what really had happened there[1]

·         65% - 80% of the Syrian GPD /national income were specialized for the ministry of Defense before the six days war for two reasons for defense and for the liberation of Palestine from its Zionist invaders.

·         Syria was under the rule of Salah Jadid

·         The budget of the Syrian army was more than the national income.

·     The Baath party in the pre-war time was working according the slogan “The Liberation of Palestine through Jordan”[2]

·         An Arab common military leadership was formed between Egypt, Syria and Jordan under the leadership of Commander “Ali Amar”[3]

·         The Baath radio Station used during the pre-war time to air some silly provoking song called “The river Jordan won’t be redirect “ sang by a Singer who disappeared later name “Lodi”[4] especially in the year 1966 according to the orders of Major “Fares El-Hatom” who headed the special units which guarded the Syrian radio .

·         In April or May 1967 the Students union in the city of “Homs” organized a lecture attended by hundreds of students in “Opera” cinema theatre, the speaker guest was “Mustafa El-Talas” Lt. Col. Then who gave a huge presentation that gave the audience an idea of the Syrian and Egyptian military plan to liberate Palestine with a big map and a commander stick [5] saying that [6]

“We will move with our forces to the south to destroy the Palace of “El-Raga’ia” first then on the second day we will move to the west and during those two days the Egyptian forces will have passed Sinai and advance to Palestinian coast, and on the third day will close the mouth of the pincher on the Jews and then we will ….

The audience screamed in great enthusiasm that can’t be described

“… To the Sea”

·         The attack on Syria on the 5^th of June started with an IAF raids over the Syrian airports and air bases after finishing from the Egyptian front ,the attack started about 10 AM Damascus Local time, the same plan in Egypt to target the airports, airbases and air crafts on the ground

·         The IAF air crafts were mainly from the French Mirage fighters.

·         They destroyed the “Maza” airport which is near to the Damascus university where the Students were having their second term exams and saw at the same time the battles between the IAF and SAF

·         The IAF destroyed the runways in the “Maza” airport

·         Despite the attack of the IAF yet the Syrian Air forces defended as they were already on alert due to what happened earlier in Egypt

·         The Syrian anti-shell fires  succeeded in target one Israeli Air craft which was burned and its pilot was inside it that the piece of the air craft was brought  to the students in the university were they saw the burning flash parts of the pilot[7]

·         The SAF despite the destruction of all of its runways and air bases across the country managed to destroy the Oil refines and depots in “Haifa” in north Israel at 12 AM, that was the only Arabic air forces counter attack or in better word actual share in that war because simply most air crafts were destroyed on ground without a fight.

·         Just like EAF ,the SAF was destroyed on the first day of the war 1967

·         Israel managed to reach to the East side of the Suez Canal on the third day of the war which was  the 7^th of June 1967 ,on the fourth day which was the 8^th of June 1967 the IDF was busy on the Jordanian front and his fight with the PLO and the Jordanian army , mainly the PLO

·         On the 4^th day the IDF managed to invade Jerusalem and reached to the east shore of the River Jordan

·         On the 5^th and 6^th days of the way the IDF transferred to the Syrian front to complete its plan to invade the Golan heights

·         The total Syrian losses in the war as announced back then were 120 soldiers!![8]

·         On the 13^th of September 1967 Egypt, Syria and Jordan signed the Common defense agreement

I had to re-publish this post again because I found new stuff interesting I had to add it ,also because I didn't like the format of the post

Howdy informed president Nasser by this information yet it didn’t stop the southern man from escalating the matter more and more from a silly rumor to an international crisis. Already after the defeat Nasser did the best thing he was good at and began to blame the Baath regime in Syria, strangely he didn’t blame or ask himself why he didn’t listen to the information his trust man in intelligence got from the Baath regime itself, in fact that is another question we may ask ourselves about why Nasser didn’t withdraw from the charade, Ironically we will never know the answer

A question that even those who know Nasser personally asked them, after no one can say that President Nasser wasn’t very smart man, Late Syrian Politician Akram El-Hurani who was appointed as vice president to Nasser during the union with Syria in 1959 before turning to him asked the same question in his Memories exactly in page 3420 from the fourth part :

Gamal Abd El-Nasser used to say about himself that he was a careful man, he said that in front of me in several occasion, so what made him involving in closing the “Aqaba” Gulf at the same time he knew that the Israelis would lead a war if it were closed !!??

On the 17^th of May, 1967 the emergency condition was announced in Egypt, it was like the drums of war, then on 23th of May,1967 Nasser announced that the closure of the “Aqaba” Gulf in front of the Israeli navigation and requested the UN to withdraw its emergency troop from Sinai. Of course the Public in Egypt was prepared through the media to a huge war that would erase Israel from the map , also the public was surprised by the president’s order to close the Aqaba Gulf in front of the Israeli navigation because in 1956 when President Nasser agree to let the Israeli ships go through the Aqaba Gulf as they liked he didn’t inform the Egyptian people at all ,it was from the security council resolution that reached between Egypt ,Israel, UK, France and the international community. Some people began to feel that they were deceived and they were dragged to war despite our refusal to it because Israel would fight the whole world if the Aqaba Gulf was closed in front of its navigation, because the close of the Gulf means partially closing a life vent to it.

On the 25^th of May, 1967 President Nasser gave a promise to the United Nations Secretary General Mr. U Thant then that he wouldn’t the war starter, well practically he didn’t start the war but gave Israel a good reason to start it

Updated : on the same of the 31st of May he had also met with the an American emissary, former Treasury Secretary Robert Anderson where he had assured to him that Egypt wouldn't begin any fight

On then the 31^st of May, 1967 King Hussein of Jordan came to Cairo and signed another agreement to enter the war and to appoint General Abd El-Monaim Riyad as the commander of the common forces in Jerusalem, ironically Israel didn’t intend to have war with King Hussein, the little king Hussein as they used to call him but he went to Nasser’s side plus they wanted the holy city, I think there was not much of a choice

Strangely in Mohamed Hasseinein Heikel book “the explosion “in page 485, the closet writer to president Nasser is taking about strange incident no mentioned before that King Hussein before this visit had called General Riyad to Amman to deliver a very important urgent secret message to President Nasser only personally despite the great differences between Nasser and the Jordanian king which reached to the level of conspiracy to kill each other[2] but there were much important stuff that are above any difference and argument because it affects the Arabic national security as King Hussein said in the message to Nasser that Heikel published completely in his book, what came in the message was the following and that’s according to Heikel

The king has what makes him sure that there is a trap being made right now for the United Arab Republic[3] and President Mubarak ,as there is a trial to make them involve in a war that doesn’t suite their circumstances now. The ruling group in Syria is breached and some of them are cooperating with some parties with plans and agenda .end of the message

Very important message that makes us ask several questions

1. How did Heikel get to it?? “okay may be Nasser told him about it or King Hussein told him about “

2. Why did King Hussein come to Cairo later to sign the war agreement despite he knew it was a trap?? “The late King was a very wise cunning man ,it doesn’t make sense to be involve in a war with all its consequences and you already you know it is a trap, in the end he lost the west bank and the holy city of Jerusalem”

3. Who were those parties exactly?? “The only parties I can think of right now who got benefit for involving Egypt in war were Israel and the Soviets and that would be the greatest skimp of all”

4. Who were those members in the ruling regime in Syria working with those parties?? “With my all respect for reading to the level of studying the Syria political conditions and names back then the only name I can suspect holding powerful and critical position in the Syrian military and political decision making is the name of Hafiz El-Assad himself”

5. Why didn’t Nasser listen to this message? “The most important question of all”

It doesn’t make sense to me because Nasser now from two different sources knew for sure that it was a trap and some member of the ruling regime in Syria were involved in it, don’t forget that the ones who are still living and saying this are one of the most famous Nasserists who considered and still consider Nasser an idol

Nasser went to the war despite all the warning despite the fact he didn’t control the army as he left it to the playboy Amar not to mention the terrible losses in the war of Yemen, I remember the USS Liberty Veteran Jim Ennes when he told me that the United States was sure 100% that Nasser was bluffing and didn’t want to go to war if so why he closed the “Aqaba Gulf “

Leave the strange 31st of May,on the 2nd of June old Nasser met a British M.P., Christopher Mayhew and told him that Egypt had no intention of attacking Israel and on the same day he met again with Anderson where he informed him that he would dispatch Zechariah Mohidin to D.C ,already Mohidin was known to be the Americans friend after all the Egyptian intelligence was built under the supervision of the C.I.A , on the same day Nasser sent to president Johnson the same man that was being cursed in all Egyptian media a telegram saying that he would not be the one who would start the war but would resist any aggression against us or any Arabic country !!

The big mystery and the scandal was the Egyptian intelligence was informed by the date of the Israeli attack accurately from different multiple sources including the famous Rafaat El-Hagan decoded message and my scoop, my own personal scoop of the Egyptian Chronicles that one of my family members himself who was working in one of the Egyptian Embassies I won’t say where or who or in what position succeeded in knowing the exact time and delivered to the intelligence , the surprise that he knew it from some Soviet source ,our same ally and he had to pay for that

Updates: It turned out that not only Nasser knew the time of the war through these resources but it turned out that President Charles De Gaulle himself had given him the exact details with the hours ,of course there was denial to that but this according to Egyptian Ambassador in France back then "Abd El-Monaim El-Nagr !!

Another mystery already I heard it before but I didn't include because of my short memory pardon me

The mystery is the meeting between the EAF pilots and president Nasser , this meeting was aired on TV of course after editing it was in Air force base in "Abu Sir" on the 26th of May 1967 , at the time the whole country from the press back then was being prepared for the war and thus it was a natural thing to find the pilots to have enthusiasm but they were surprised to find the president himself saying that we were not going to war and he seemed surprisingly so peacefully , I remember that in the famous documentary of Tarek Habib from couple of years under the title "The files of the 23rd of July revolution" in the six days war with his interview with the ex-pilots that this meeting was not like it had appeared in the media

I don't understand exactly what Nasser wanted , because thanks my dear Vagabondblogger I found this historical article in Salon.com ,of course it is full of information , regarding the declassified documents in President Johnson Library in Austin in Texas and his cabinet and what they thought about the war ,of course these documents you will find that we were more like paper armies after all we were exhausted in the Yemen war till the last drop ,for God Sake when the six days war started and also finished my Grand father 's brother ,a navy officer was in his way home from Yemen on an Egyptian warship that stopped in Safga !!

Now please read the part concerning the difference between president Nasser public and private signs already I mention them above

Ironically I understand Amar and Badran to the rest of the gang but the only person I don't understand him exactly is President Nasser seriously ,Please tell what do you think of him exactly because from reading the lines and history I don't have a clear understanding for this man and what he had caused , don't tell me he was expecting a small hit in Suez in the oil refinery ,This man sent over 150,000 soldier and officer to the front ,he was making Egypt ready for war in a stupid way I can't describe it

That's why I don't like Nasser ,yes I don't because I can't understand him

· President Nasser engaged in the War of Yemen from year 1961 to 1967 to exhaust the Egyptian army in war that Egypt has nothing to do with it except that he didn’t like the Saudi king back then.

· The numbers of the Egyptians who died and injured during the years of the war of Yemen are estimated for 1/3 of the Egyptian army.

· The official losses announced in the war of Yemen was 10,000 KIA[1]

· President Nasser despite all what is said about his control on Egypt he didn’t have any control on the army then , the army was under the control of Field Marshal[2] Abdel Hakim Amar

· The army during Amar commandership turned from a military establishment in to some kind of mix between a social club and a play boy mansion!!

·There was undeclared but known to everyone conflict between Nasser and Amar on who was going to rule Egypt and everyone has it s own team in the regime but the real power was that Nasser had the public and Amar had the army.

· Despite the success of the external operations of the Egyptian intelligence during the 1960s its commandership was corrupted and turned in to working from the sake of the nation in to the sake of individuals just like any typical dictatorship example

· Amar and his men who were mostly sex maniacs who adored women more than eyes and that’s why it was easy for the Mossad to planet its spies in his team.

· It was the time of exams in Egypt before the summer the vacation[3].

· About 600 aircrafts were estimated to be destroyed in the runways on ground in the IAF air raids

· The IAF air raids took 6 hours[4]

· The IAF then moved to the Syrian front after finishing its job very well in Egypt.

· President Nasser was accusing the Baath members in Syria for pushing him to war without giving anything

· On the 13^th of September 1967 Egypt, Syria and Jordan signed the Common defense agreement

· The six days war in Egypt is associated with the voice of “Ahmed Said” the former head of “Sawt El-Arab” “The Voice of the Arabs” who used to read before and during the early hours of the war the false statements of the army from the kind “we will erase Israel” and “We succeeded in destroying – numbers- of Israeli fighters” despite the destruction of the EAF on ground

· In the pre-war time Nasser propaganda machine was boasting all the time by its missiles they made and called it “El-Zafr””The achiever”[5] ,”El-Qahr””The Conqueror” and “El-Nasser” “The victorious”, they were never used during the war or even after it or even in 1973, which made them an easy target for the Egyptian Jokes for example many Egyptians considered them wooden missiles wearing white pants!!

· I don’t know but America wasn’t a direct enemy in the war , yes it stood behind Israel but I don’t understand the silly slogans in Egypt and Syria from the type “We will make the Six fleet of America a dish for the fish of the Mediterranean !!”

. The media in Egypt despite its different kinds ,it made the people ready for a battle that was going to happen sooner or later , a battle that would end in victory !!

· Here is an example : The two covers from 1967 from a magazine that was published by the agriculture syndication , there were for months June and July , and surprisingly you will find there was a great confidence in victory in June 1967 edition and an under estimation for the defeat in July 1967

Thank God thousand times at last I found the Israeli documentary that caused all the buzz in Egypt and Israel

First I must thanks "Kabeer El-Motashardeen" and also I must thanks the man who got the documentary in the first place "Cruel World"

For now it is in Hebrew , but I promise you I will translate the whole script which "Cruel World" was nice enough to translate in to Arabic in to English

Ok the 40th anniversary is coming just in 24 hours and I am ready for it ,there are already several updates in several sections

Third I made a section to answer back the Israeli counter allegations regarding the mistreatment of Israeli pows in Yom Kippur war.

Fifth I added a page to the 1967 file regarding the forgotten Al-Ahram newspaper expedition back in year 1995.

Fathia Nkrumah ,the widow of Kwame Nkrumah had passed away in Cairo from few days ago and her memorial mass was held in the Orthodox Cathedral Church in Cairo by Pope Shounda himself

Fatahiah ,the widow of the first president of Ghana will leave Egypt for another time to be buried beside her husband there by the wish of Ghana's president Kufuor ,strangely the lady was going to travel to Ghana despite her health condition to attend the 50th celebration of independence.

It seems really from the coverage online that she was really respected and loved by the people there

She had from husband three children : Gamal "Named after the President and currently working in Al-Ahram weekly" ,Samia and Nabil "Sekou"

She was born and raised in Zeitoun in Cairo

She was working in bank when she married Nkrumah , she was 27 years old while he was 49 years old ,they were married in 1958,ironically he wanted to marry her younger sister but the family refused due to the famous tradition that the elder sister should be married first and thus he saw Fathia and her beauty and decided to marry her instead

In 1966 after the overthrown of Nkrumah ,she had to leave to Cairo where she lived with her children , while her husband went to exile in Guinea away from his family for the rest of his life till he died from Cancer in 1977

One piece of history some don't know ,well the majority ,President Nasser gave some of the jewels of the Egyptian Royal family as a wedding present to the bride of the Nile and the African rebel , of course after the coup against her husband and their exile the Jewels were lost !!
