In Tyre our meeting to be

Tyre, the Lebanese poor coastal city in the south of Lebanon was the first non Egyptian city to be named in the Egyptian Mythology.

It was mentioned in the first and the most famous Egyptian Legend Isis and Osiris.

The legends says the following “I am sorry I won’t say it completely as it is long and full of details ,now will be unfair to mention it due to the circumstance”

When Sat the God of Evil and his companions killed Osiris after deceiving him , they put him in a box and sealed it , throw to the sea in the north which the Mediterranean. His wife and love Isis didn’t know what happened to him, for days and nights she kept crying a lot that from her tears the River Nile came. One day she decided to search for him, may be she would find and thus a long journey that lasted for several days and nights began. In the end she reached the city of Tyre in Lebanon, where she found an Egyptian box sealed on of the Tyre’s beach, she opened the box and thus found her husband and love Osiris

The legend is too long and too wonderful, I can mention it all in better times, and I just wanted to show how Lebanon is connected to Egypt from very very long time

I am sorry for our government and president provoking statements

The Legend of Qana of the Christ

I won't speak about the dead children because I know right that their sacred blood became a holy curse on those who killed them in such way

I will speak about the village itself , the doomed village which its name engraved in the history of world famous massacre, there is a hidden history for the quiet small village in south Lebanon , I will speak about this hidden history because we should not be said about those villages , we should be proud of them I don't know how to say it but these people who died yesterday are heroes and martyrs now in heavens , may God bless their souls and avange for them

Qana is more than a village in the south and more than a name to listed in the history of cimes against humanity as a witeness .

Qana is the Qana El-Galil which was mentioned in the Bible as a holy place witnessed the miracle of Jesus Christ when changed water in to wine by God's will

Qana in Hebrew means the Place of Reeds , yes ironically this is a hebrew name nobody no since when it was named this name , but for sure it was named so before Jesus Christ.

This small village got an old shrine for a prophet they called El-Galil "Solemn or Lordly", the aread took its name from him , the people are always speaking about his miracles and so on of course no one knows the truth of this shrine as when folklore, history and religion combine together it is hard to know the truth from the myth

Qana as I said earlier saw one of the miracles of Jesus Christ and it is mentioned in the Bible, and it has many christian remainings there from ancient statues and icons of Jesus and the virgin Mary "Peace upon them all" till now

This is the real Qana , a holy place for Muslims and Christians turned in to a witness of a genocide

Israeli missile strike in Lebanon kills more than 50; Rice postpones trip

you heard the news , for the second times after 10 year the IDF "Israeli Defense forces " and IAF "Israeli Air forces" targeted the village of Qana in South of Lebanon .

It is the second time , the first time was in April 1996 and exactly 100 woman and child were killed when Israeli hit the UN shelter they were hiding in.

Yesterday the same thing happened in Qana , the Israeli army targeted civilians not in a UN shelter but in a house Shelter

The death toll until now is 60 civilians half of them are children , and 10 of those children are with special needs

Check the terrible images of Qana 2 in the following usual address

    www.fromisraeltolebanon.com

Ironically the Israelis are accusing Hezbullah of using those people as human shields!! whom are they fooling ??

The images are terrible ,the testimonies of the survivals are much much crueler

A girl who lost all her family , a father who holds the dead body of his daughter who only was 4 years old

Do you know that they were sleeping ?? yes all the kids were wearing pijamas :(

The complete speech of President Nassar in 1956

Here is link to the memorable speech President Nassar said in the Manshia Square at Alexandria on the 26th of July 1956 in the Revolution anniversary where he announced the nationalisation of the Suez canal

Unfortunately it is in Arabic ,I would have translated in another time so forgive me I promise I will do so next year

    From Nassar.org :

    The Nationalisation Speech 1956

Oops I forgot you don't need to wait for my impressive translation next year, Here is google translation :) OK may be I will need to translate myself after all , they still got a lot of work with google translation

The Nationalisation Speech 1956 "English Google Translation"

50 Years on the Nationalization of Suez Canal

Today on the 26th of July from 50 years ago in the City of Alexandria in Manshia Square ,one of the biggest public Squares in the coastal city ,President Gamal Abd El-Nasser , the Second president of Egypt and the master mind behind of the Free officers movements which from 54 years ago that in 1952 overthrow the King of Egypt , made a historical speech that changed the course of history then in many was

Nasser most important parts other than declaring the Union between Egypt and Syria which to take place after two year in 1958 said the following

"We decided to Nationalise The Universal Company of Suez Canal for navigation to be an Egyptian Corporate company "

This is one of the most important moments in the Egyptian modern history and this speech ,in fact this sentence was not less important the famous Kennedy famous quote

"Small step on the moon ,big step for humanity"

Nassar and I am not from his admirers at all returned back by this sentence a lost right Egypt wanted from a very very long time. The Canal which was dug by one million Egyptian Peasants who worked in conditions even animals couldn't bare , the Canal which was on Egyptian land from its beginning to its end was owned and controlled by Foreigners . All its welfare from money and it is huge sum for sure ,as now in 2006 it is considered the main income for Egypt estimated exactly between 3 Billions and 3 Billions Americas dollars annually ,this is now despite the control of the aviation industry on the transportation section ,so you can imagine the welfare Egypt had lost since the opening of the Canal in 1869 till 1956.

Already Politically and historically the Canal didn't bring to Egypt anything except troubles and European intervention just Like Mohamed Ali Basha expected ,thanks to the grand ceremonies of opening Ismail Basha wanted to dazzle the European with ,Egypt became in Debt and he had to sell the Egypt's share to England in the company, then the complete ignored historical fact that the Canal was the entrance in which the British army came to invade Egypt in 1882.

Monsieur De De Lesseps lied on Orabi ,the commander of the Orabi revolution who the British armies , The British armies didn't and couldn't invade Egypt neither from the north from the Mediterranean Sea or the south ,there was a great battle in Toshoka historians always forget anyway, Orabi as excellent military leader knew that British forces could come from the Suez Canal and thus he wanted the canal to be closed ,Sasspe as the People of Port Said call him till our day was a mean French man he didn't want the canal to be closed and thus he lied to him and told him that

' The British won't come for here, I will close it myself if they come '

And thus Orabi the Egyptian believed him when he shouldn't had , He was still in the area of Suez when the British Armies arrived from the Canal and Entered Egyptian and invaded it through a nasty lie to surprise Orabi and his armies from the Egyptian People.

From important things you must know that the exclusive contract between Egyptian Government "Not the revolution or any of the 20th century governments" and the Universal company of Suez Canal concerning the operation of the Canal was to end in 1960 ,of course there is a predications from the Egyptian side that the company would n't leave it that easily ,this one

Two Egypt was building the high dam in Aswan to protect Egypt from both the Nile flood and the draft and also to generate electricity, It was a great project ,in fact it was the greatest since digging the Suez canal , already this project needed funding ,we wanted to take a loan from the IMF but United States worked out to make Egypt not to take the loan ,and thus there was no other way except by the nationalisation.

The Nationalisation of Canal created an international crisis that ended with a trio aggression in war or the war of 1956

and this I will talk about later

    The Unknown Suez Canal history

OK boys and girls exactly in this 1:11 AM from 50 years ago , special troops from the army and from the government then were ready to next night to nationalize The Suez Canal , if you are Egyptian or Arabic and Saw by accident or by intention “Nasser 56” film you will know what I am referring to

Now before going to the Nationalization , I must go back and explain some points I am 100% sure that you are not familiar with concerning the history of the Suez Canal

As you all know and learned in schools and general knowledge the Suez Canal is maritime canal that joins both the Mediterranean sea and Red Sea

It is one of the most important vital maritime canal in the world as it can be considered a short cut between Asia and Europe , before it all ships had to take cross two oceans from Europe to Asia , the circumnavigation around Africa in other words

It is important to Economy to Politics to transportation , to the whole world to make it clear

    That’s what every one knows

But not everyone knows much about the history of this canal , well some Europeans educated Europeans especially the French and British will know some about its modern history since its opening in 1869 “oh man Israel made us not to celebrate the 100th anniversary , pleasure spoiler”

Well without my sophisticated introductions I will tell you that the history of the Suez Canal goes beyond the 19th century not with years or centuries but Millenniums

Oh yes it goes to the time of ancient Egyptians , who dig the first Maritime canal in the history of mankind in the same area , in the Modern State of the ancient Egypt in the time of 12th dynasty exactly at the time of Pharaoh Senursett II and this canal was “Sizostrem” if my ancient Egypt history information is not mistaken , some say that this ancient canal existed in the time of Ramses II , yet unfortunately it fell under the powers of sands and disrepair and vanished and came again twice one in the time of Necho II and the other one in the time of Darius the legendary King of the Achaemenid State in Ancient Persia Iran now, in fact one of the valuable ancient inscriptions of Darius one concerning the ancient Canal which the Archeologist called it “Darius’ Suez inscriptions “

Then it disappeared again and appeared again in the time of Ptomelly II then again it disappeared that time for a whole millennium to be restored again in the 6th century by the orders of the Arabic Muslim Army leader Amr Ibn El-as who was the first to rule Egypt as an Arab Muslim and this to facility the trade and transportation , Amr all ready was one hell of a trader before joining the Army .

The end of the ancient Suez canal came in the 8th century on the hands of the Abbasid Caliph El-Mansour who ordered that the canal to be closed for over as there was some kind of revolution against him in Delta and this was in 768 A.D , already the man was the first of his dynasty who made massacres to get rid the Umayyads and take over their rules “this bastard didn’t know that Monarchy is prohibited in Islam !!??”

Check the historical backgrounds here and there

After that another Millennium passed and the canal was forgetting until the famous French expedition came to Egypt with the leadership of Napoleon , this expedition coming is considered the beginning of modern Egypt . The idea of Suez Canal came to the great leader who wanted to cut the trade route to India of the English and thus to divest England , Bonaparte wanted to make a French Empire like the British its base to be in Egypt , the project was in process already in year 1799 by Charles Le Pere yet it was stopped because there was a mistake in the calculations that Red Sea level was then the Mediterranean Sea as far as I remember

The project was closed and the expedition left Egypt in 1802 after a serious of defeats to France and England put its eye on the land of the valley who suddenly understood its importance whether for the location or for the expansion in the British colonies ----- this a side remark I had to say

In 1833 , in the glory of the great Egyptian Empire , in its golden age a group of French intellectuals came and proposed the idea of canal to the founder of modern Egypt Mohamed Ali Basha May God bless his soul , who refused the idea totally for fear of turning Egypt in to another Basfour as he said , he didn’t want the intervention of the west in Egypt and with project Egypt would be more desired than it was already , it would bring troubles as the Basfour did to Turkey , and he was totally right this illiterate man and had a future insight and vision because that really happened after ,it did bring trouble in Egypt --- anther side remark.

Those frenchie boys called themselves Saint-Simoniens , they stayed in Egypt to convince the man in the Castle who refused ,most Les Simoniens were killed in a plague epidemic except may be 30 or 40 who left to France in 1835 except two the French Vice-Ambassador in Alexandira then Ferdinand de Lesseps and Linant de Bellefonds

I guess we are getting closer now to the Known history of the Canal “Say hi to SSEPS as the Canal people like to call him

The history of Suez Canal did n’t finish next time I will reveal to you the rest of the real history of the Canal which was digged by blood and caused Egypt its independence

    July 22

    The Revolution day :)

Today is the night of the Revolution Day in Egypt, one of its most important national days; it is like our independence day. In the exact time now from 54 ago years that is the 23rd of July 1952 a group of officers in the Egyptian army known as The Free Officers began to move in Cairo and Alexandira to overthrow King Farouk the first and sent him to exile and appointed his son less then a year baby then Crown prince Ahmed Fouad the second as the king of Egypt under the guardianship of important political figures as far as I remember Prime minister Ali Maher. After this by one year or even less in 18th of June they overthrow the baby prince who was in Italy with his dad and declared the Egyptian Republic and thus the first Egyptian president was the great general and Noble Mohamed Naguib

I wanted to dedicate this day this year to the memory of the great man Mohamed Naguib but there are two reasons

    1. It turned out that this year Egypt is celebrating the Jubilee of the nationalization of the Suez Canal.
    2. The current war in Lebanon , a dear Arab country is destroyed and being invaded in the moment of writing these lines by a foreigner cruel army

As you see two important factors, of course I must write about the nationalization of the Suez Canal, one of the most important events in the history of modern and one of the few things I love in the revolution but on the same time I am busy following the disturbing news in Lebanon

After short thinking, I believe I must dedicate some time to the Nationalization of the Suez Canal Jubilee, it is my duty as Egyptian who believes in the greatness of this decision, I will write about in the way it suits from the importance of this event and current events

Believe me I don’t see much difference from year 1956 and year 2006

NO Comment Photos of Lebanon to the West ,till when you will be silent

Last night I saw on Al-jazeera or new TV a report about the demonstration that was held yesterday by the Muslim and Lebanese Community in Berlin , one of the protesters said that the West world don't see the same horrible images we see in the Arabic channels concerning the massive destruction and death in Lebanon caused by the Israeli army

in fact the west world concentrate only on the damage in the Hebrew state , I won't deny this ,in fact I confirm it 100% if you visit Reuters or watch BBC or CNN or even worst Fox you will know I mean

and so as my duty as Egyptian Arabic blogger who writes in English ,I will share with the rest of the world few images from Lebanon

Caution: some images are not advised to be watched by those who got weak heart

Where are Hiafa ,Elissa and Nancy ?

Sorry this question came to my mind while watching the terrible sad live images of the destruction sorry death in Lebanon , where are Hiafa Wahby , Elissa and Nancy Agram ?

    where are they ?

Where are they as singers and artists with a mission to serve their country ? at least that is what a real artist is

I see them and I remember immediately Julia Botrous ,the sound of the Lebanese south in the time of war , I hear them in the Taxis and I remember immediately what Abdel Halim Hafiz did in 1967 ,his greatest songs ever after the defeat , I see their pictures in the magazines and I remember Shadia with her cheerful songs for Egypt

    They are fake

The real artists are the mirror of their country and people

Ahmed Fouad Nagm talks about Hassan Nassar Allah

Yesterday Ahmed Fouad Nagm , the Egyptian legendary poet in 1960s and 1970s was the guest in the famous Tv program on Al-Jazeera news channel "A special Visit"

Ahmed Foaud Nagm's episode is two part ,this week and next week on Saturday

One wonderful crazy hour was it , it is n't the first TV program I saw for the "Fagomi" or "The idiot" as he likes to call himself , in fact I saw for him many many TV shows about his memories not to mention his wonderful TV show that was used to be on Dream TV 2 "Long live my people " which was about the history and Egyptian Custom and traditions , you see what I like in him is his honest opinions , every show he goes and says those wonderful crazy true things from his heart which are not his own personal opinions sometimes but the opinion of the large silent polite majority of the Egyptian People

For Example once in El-Hora TV show he said his opinion about Ruby , the singer

Have you ever seen a singer singing from her ass ?

and he even said Ass which is a forbidden word in Arabic and in Egyptian Televisions in its slug word , already it is a taboo to say it like this in the public !! Newspapers spoke about it for weeks

So with Ahmed Fouad Nagm the king of the political poems in the 1960s and 1970s who had been behind bars most of his life expect the unexpected on Air

Yesterday He gave the usual bombshells to the Arabic viewer

    1. He is a Muslim ,in his heart and a big supporter to Sufism but he doesn't practise Islamic rituals from praying or fasting "Nagm was and is still a communist socialist Poet"
    2. He called The Arab Leaders from Kings and Presidents dirty persons who don't deserve to write about :)
    3. His hero now is Shekih Hassan NassarAllah ,the leader of Islamic Resistance HazbAllah in South of Lebanon

He described Nasser Allah as the Arabic Hero , the Anatar of his era "Anatar was an Arabian Knight and Poet who lived before the Islam known for his knighthood ,Bravery and Poetry"

He also described his meeting with him , how he hugged him and How Nagm was so proud with him and how poor ladies in Allies in Egypt pray God for his victory "I swear I heard it and saw it "

It was a nice coincidence with what is going in Lebanon

Next part will next Saturday at 8 o'clock Cairo Local Time on Al-Jazeera channel

My dear friend Nuriennium wrote this wonderful poem

He wrote it at first to describe the agony of People of Darfor but it also suits the agony of the Southern Lebanese who died last day burned in their cars by the fires of the Israeli air fighters in the Marawheen's Massacre
